AceShowbiz - Amid divorce proceedings, Daddy Yankee has filed legal motions alleging that his soon-to-be ex-wife Mireddys Gonzalez and her sister withdrew unauthorized funds from his companies.
He accused his estranged wife of withdrawing $100 million from two of his music companies without his permission. In legal documents filed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the reggaeton artist claims Gonzalez took $80 million from El Cartel Records, where she served as CEO, and $20 million from Los Cangris.
Daddy Yankee alleges that the withdrawals occurred after he revoked González's authority and warned her against making financial transactions on behalf of the companies. He claims that González and her sister, Ayeicha Gonzalez Castellanos, have mismanaged El Cartel Records by neglecting corporate formalities and failing to account for their financial decisions.
The singer also raises concerns about the sale of his music catalog to Concord, which he says was finalized under Gonzalez's direction at an unreasonably low price. He alleges that he was not provided with full details of the contract and does not know the scope of the transaction.
Daddy Yankee has filed injunctions against Gonzalez, Gonzalez Castellanos, and El Cartel Records, seeking the immediate removal of their administrative duties and the disclosure of financial information. He claims that their actions have compromised the company's finances and resulted in negligent performance.
The allegations come weeks after Daddy Yankee announced his separation from Gonzalez after nearly 30 years of marriage. The couple has two children together.
Gonzalez has not yet publicly addressed the allegations.
