AceShowbiz - Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures have confirmed that Mason Gooding will reprise his role as Chad Meeks-Martin in "Scream 7" a.k.a. "Scream VII". This news arrives following a turbulent period for the production, marked by delays, creative overhauls and cast reshuffles.
Notably, Jasmin Savoy Brown, who plays Chad's sister Mindy, has not officially signed on yet. Fellow core cast members Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, who were part of the franchise's rebooted entries, will not be returning.
The departure of Melissa Barrera, reportedly over social media posts about the Israel-Palestine conflict, and Jenna Ortega's scheduling conflicts with Netflix's "Wednesday" have paved the way for a refreshed cast.
