AceShowbiz - Get ready for a major comeback on the big screen! Eminem is set to make a cameo appearance in "Happy Gilmore 2," the long-awaited sequel to the beloved sports comedy, according to actor Adam Sandler.

In an interview on "The Dan Patrick Show," Sandler praised Eminem's performance and revealed that he filmed a day's worth of scenes for the movie. While Sandler remained tight-lipped about Eminem's specific role, he hinted that the rapper was a "great guy" and "said a million things we can use." He summarized, "It was insane."

This isn't the first time Eminem and Sandler have collaborated on film. They previously worked together in 2009's "Funny People."

In addition to Eminem, "Happy Gilmore 2" boasts an impressive cast. Christopher McDonald, who played the iconic antagonist Shooter McGavin in the original, will reprise his role. Other notable cameos include Dan Patrick, Margaret Qualley, and Travis Kelce.

The film, which will stream exclusively on Netflix, is expected to premiere sometime in July 2025, according to Sandler. He added that they are "trying to get it done in time for July."

The sequel has been in the works for several years, with rumors first emerging in March 2023. Netflix officially announced the project in May of the same year. The original "Happy Gilmore" was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $41 million at the box office. Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the long-awaited follow-up.

Eminem previously made a cameo in 2014's movie "The Interview" starring Seth Rogen and James Franco. The rapper caused uproar back then after admitting he was gay in a fictional interview on the movie.
