AceShowbiz - This season on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills", a lot of of the drama revolves around Dorit Kemsley's alleged separation from her husband, PK Kemsley, and his purported struggles with alcoholism. However, former producer Carlos King believes the couple may be deceiving viewers. According to King, the entire storyline is crafted to boost ratings and generate income for the couple.
King expressed his opinions on his podcast, "Reality With the King". "I'm being told that allegedly, Dorit and PK [are] fooling the audience with this divorce storyline based on his alcoholism, which is why Dorit is telling everybody, including the post office guy, the milkman, and her gardener that PK has a drinking problem," King said. "And it's because they need this money and they are so in dire need of funds, allegedly, that Dorit has nothing to lose."
The former producer suggests that Dorit is using this storyline to become the "marquee name of the show" and secure a more lucrative position on "RHOBH".
Kyle Richards' behavior on the show has also been brought into question. King mentioned that Kyle's skepticism towards Dorit's actions in the first episode of Season 14 was telling. "Kyle understands that Dorit is desperate to keep this job and keep her check," King said.
He also hinted that Dorit might reveal confidential information about Richards to further her own storyline. "She is going to expose some very confidential things that Kyle has said to her in their private moments," he added.
Jeff Lewis, a reality TV star and "Real Housewives" expert, also discussed the Kemsley situation on Nick Viall's podcast. Lewis suggested that while the alcoholism narrative might not be entirely accurate, there are other underlying issues in Dorit and PK's relationship.
"I know we're trying to blame it all on his alcoholism … I really don't know the status of his drinking, but I will say I did hear that he felt like she has changed since the show and that the show has become a major priority, and I think over - he felt, and I'm not speaking for him - over his marriage and his family," he explained.
The ongoing drama between Dorit and PK, and the potential fallout with Kyle Richards, has fans eagerly tuning in every week. "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" continues to air its gripping Season 14 on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
