AceShowbiz - Following a string of disappointing games, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has opened up about his current shooting struggles. After Monday's 109-80 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, in which James shot 25% from the field, the 39-year-old attributed his poor performance to a lack of rhythm. "It's everything," James said. "I just feel off rhythm the last few, three, four games."
James' shooting slump has been his worst since his rookie season in 2003. He has shot below 45% in six consecutive games. Despite his current struggles, James insists that he is committed to working and regaining his shooting touch. "Just work. That's all," he said.
James' plan to play all 82 games this season has also come into question. Lakers head coach JJ Redick expressed concerns about James' physical well-being, saying, "I don't know if that's in the best interest of him and us."
James acknowledged the concerns but declined to clarify his plans. "That's a goal, but we'll see," he said. "It's something I ain't discussing right now."
James also spoke about his eventual retirement, saying, "I'm not going to play that much longer, to be completely honest." He added that he does not intend to play until he is physically unable to perform.
Despite their recent struggles, the Lakers remain optimistic. They will look to bounce back on Wednesday against the Miami Heat.
