AceShowbiz - While Wendy Williams is reportedly permanently incapacitated amid her Aphasia and Dementia battle, the legal issues surrounding her continue to unfold. In a new update regarding lawsuits involving her legal guardian Sabrina Morrisey and the producers of her documentary "Where Is Wendy Williams?", it's said that Sabrina was accused of mishandling the money given to Wendy for her participation in the controversial documentary.
According to court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Lifetime, A&E Television Networks, Entertainment One and Creature Films claimed that Sabrina attempted to eliminate critical views of her "controversial and failed administration." They also accused Sabrina of lying about the $82,000 pay for the docuseries, insisting that they paid Wendy approximately $400,000 for her participation.
They believed Sabrina's action was driven by personal embarrassment as the docuseries would expose her failure to protect the former daytime TV host. Suggesting that Sabrina only prioritized her reputation over Wendy's wishes, Entertainment One alleged, "She denied Wendy perhaps one of her last chances to honestly reach her fans."
Recently, Wendy trended on X, formerly known as Twitter, after it was revealed that "The Wendy Williams Show" host "permanently incapacitated" from her "tragic" dementia battle. Making the claims in new court documents was Sabrina, who said that Wendy, "an acclaimed entertainer who, tragically, has been afflicted by early-onset dementia and, as a result, has become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated."
The filing added, "In January 2022, after becoming aware of a pattern of disturbing events concerning [Wendy's] welfare and finances, Wells Fargo took the highly unusual step of initiating a guardianship proceeding on its own initiative in the Supreme Court of New York, New York County (the 'Guardianship Proceeding'), to seek the court appointment of an independent guardian for [Wendy's] financial affairs."
The court documents also saw the guardian pleading the court for certain portions of the case about Wendy's "health, familial relationships, and finances" to be redacted to protect her privacy.
