AceShowbiz - Shannon Sharpe's dog is more than a pet for him, apparently. The former NFL star defended himself when people put him on blast for having his dog at the dinner table in his post celebrating Thanksgiving.
In the Friday, November 29 video shared on his Twitter account, the "Club Shay Shay" podcast host could be seen reciting his prayer and what he's grateful for on the special day. He hugged his little furry friend with several feasts laying on the table. He could also be seen feeding another dog of his at the end of the clip.
Upon catching the video, fans had a lot to say about Shannon letting his dog at the dinner table, raising concern about the hygiene. The criticism didn't go unnoticed by Shannon, who quickly clapped back at the naysayers.
"They sleep in the bed also," he wrote to a user who wrote, "dogs at the table [puke emoji]." Another reminded Shannon, "You know no animals allowed on the table!!!" To that, Shannon replied, "At your house or mine?" He added at another tweet, "What makes you think I'm going allow you 2 tell me what I should do at my house?"
Some Internet users were on Shannon's side too. "His house he can do what he wants !" one said in an Instagram comment. "My house is clean and my dog is also allowed with me at times at the table while I eat. He is part of my family, and that's how I will treat them," someone else added.
"That cute little doggy. I'm sorry. That dog is adorable," one other noted. "yall be so bothered about things that don't affect you," commented another.
Urging people to mind their own business, a fan suggested, "That's his table his food and his dog. Worry about y'all household." Echoing the sentiment, someone said, "Mind your own business people. Do what you want in your home. Unless you had an invite to eat at his table no one cares if you have an issue with him praying with his [dog emoji] at his table."
