AceShowbiz - Shannon Sharpe has entered the chat. In a new episode of his "Nightcap" show, the NFL alum and podcaster weighed in on the drama involving Travis Hunter and his fiancee Leana Lenee.
In the Tuesday, December 17 episode of the show, Shannon slammed Leanna, who claimed that Travis was initially not her type and that he cheated on his girlfriend to be with her while speaking out against criticism of her behavior. That apparently didn't sit well with Shannon.
"When you date publicly, that breakup is going to be public," Shannon said. "When you do all that publicly, guess what happens when it goes sideways. All that plays into it."
Blasting Leanna for "oversharing" things about her and the Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver/cornerback, the host continued, "For you to talk about the reason you left him on read in your inbox is because he's younger than you and he cheated .. now you threw that man under the bus. We did not need to know that."
He further ranted, "Why you put that man's business in the streets? Are you perfect? I don't like oversharing in a relationship. It was unnecessary. You don't have to share everything, people - you don't!"
"It's none of my business but it paints them in a bad light," Shannon noted. "Oh he wasn't your type, but now he is your type. Well, it seems like your type might be George Washington, Ben Franklin, or Ulysses S. Grant. It might be some of those type."
Shannon's comments came after Leanna addressed the criticism of her behavior at a pop-up event where Travis received the Heisman Trophy on Saturday, December 14. She was dragged online after she looked upset when the athlete was taking pictures with his fans.
Travis himself defended his lady amid the backlash. "You ain't never had no girl so why are y'all talking about me. Find someone else to talk about," he said on Twitch. "Go talk about your girl. Go find a girl. Go find a life. Stop worrying about what I got going on. I know what I got."
