She described the past year as one of struggle, stating she was "locked in battle in a state with terrible mothers rights." She claimed that her Instagram posts and modeling work were used as reasons she should not have custody of her children.

Grimes also spoke of her separation from Musk, saying she was "detaching" from him as he became "unrecognizable" to her. She added that she had not seen one of her babies for five months. She emphasized that these details were only a fraction of her experience, most of which she chose to keep private.

Despite the difficulties, Grimes expressed gratitude for her strength and resilience. She said she felt "on top of the world" now and that her creative process was flourishing.

Elon Musk has 12 children total, including those with Grimes. In addition to his children with Grimes, he shares seven children with his first wife, Justine Wilson, and twins with Shivon Zilis.

In August, a Texas court reportedly issued a final order regarding Musk and Grimes' custody dispute, and the case was marked as "closed." However, no further details have been released.
