AceShowbiz - Porsha Williams, the star of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta", has been sued by her estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, for defamation and invasion of privacy. According to court documents obtained by various publications, Guobadia alleges that Williams falsely and defamatorily accused him of suffering from erectile dysfunction in several Instagram posts made in July 2023.
The lawsuit claims that Williams presented these statements as factual, leading to significant harm to Guobadia's personal and professional reputation, public ridicule, and severe emotional distress.
Guobadia claims that Williams' posts, which included information about erectile dysfunction and the hashtag "#menshealthawareness," were intentionally crafted to imply that he had this condition and cast him in a negative light. He further alleges that the timing and context of the posts, made during the couple's separation, made it clear that Williams was referring to him.
The lawsuit states that Williams made these statements "recklessly and untruthfully," causing Guobadia extreme emotional distress and personal anguish. It also claims that Williams' allegations damaged his credibility and social esteem as a respected entrepreneur and philanthropist. Guobadia is seeking unspecified damages from Williams.
The lawsuit comes several months after Williams filed for divorce from Guobadia after less than two years of marriage. Since then, the two have been involved in a contentious legal battle, including disputes over their prenuptial agreement and the occupancy of their marital residence.
Williams, for her part, has not commented on the lawsuit and is set to return to "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" for its 16th season.
