The former 'The X Factor' judge appears to break down in an emotional hug with the late singer's parents, Geoff and Karen, when attending the former One Direction member's funeral.

AceShowbiz - Simon Cowell had an emotional moment with Liam Payne's parents at the late singer's funeral. The English TV personality/record executive was seen sharing a tight embrace with Liam's father Geoff and mother Karen as they were about to bid final farewell to the former One Direction member on Wednesday, November 20.
Simon, who came with his longtime partner Lauren Silverman, buried his head in Geoff's shoulder while he kept his arm around Liam's mother Karen. He appeared to wipe tears behind his sunglasses as Liam's father comforted him.
Lauren looked on during the emotional moment, but gave the trio some space as she remained a step behind them. She was there to offer an emotional support to the former "The X Factor" judge, walking hand-in-hand with her fiance who looked somber.
For the event, the music mogul looked sharp in a black turtleneck with a matching blazer and slacks, shading his eyes with a pair of round-framed sunglasses. Lauren, meanwhile, opted for a black double breasted blazer with black pants. She carried a black handbag and also completed her look with sunglasses, while carrying a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
The service was held at St. Mary's Church in Amersham, England, a short distance from Liam's hometown. His casket arrived in a horse-drawn white carriage, with his former One Direction bandmates, including Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, present. Liam's girlfriend Kate Cassidy, ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole and friends such as James Corden, Damian Hurley and Kimberley Walsh of Girls Aloud were also among the mourners.
Harry was seen having a conversation with James, and Zayn seemed to be catching up with his ex-bandmate Louis outside the church. Niall was seen departing the church hand-in-hand with his girlfriend Amelia Woolley, while Kate was seen arriving with actor/model Damian Hurley.
The funeral followed Payne's tragic passing on October 16, after he fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. He was 31 years old. A preliminary investigation concluded that he sustained multiple injuries and was likely unconscious at the time of the fall.
