AceShowbiz - While people are still mourning the death of Liam Payne, some people apparently makeuse of the tragedy for clicks. Fans of the late singer put some TikTokers on blast for posting faux clips of his funeral.
As Liam's funeral is reportedly set to take place this week, several TikTok content creators appeared to aim for clicks by posting videos which they claimed were taken from the One Direction star's funeral. One of the videos featured Prince William, while another showed what seemed to be Latvian writing in the tributes.
Upon catching wind of the footage, fans quickly slammed the attention-seeking accounts. The fans called them "disrespectful" and "sick."
Details regarding the funeral for Liam are kept under wraps, but it's believed that it will be held in the singer's native Wolverhampton. According to previous reports, it is likely to take place at either St. Peter's or St. Paul's Church, Pendeford, which is closer to Liam's childhood home.
Radar Online claimed that Liam's former bandmates Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik were expected to attend the final send off and sing a moving tribute at the service. "It is such sad news and it has shocked the world. Aside from that, I do think that the members will do something to celebrate his life and pay tribute to him," a source told the site.
The insider continued, "I can't see a full-scale tour, but I could see something along the lines of a show, a new track/ song and even something for his son, Bear. I feel that they will want to do something. It could also be one those things of a like a final performance/ time for them to do something together...something special."
Liam died on October 16 after falling from a third-floor balcony at his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office no. 14 in Argentina, his toxicology results revealed that in the 72 hours leading up to his death, Liam's body contained traces of "alcohol, cocaine, and prescription antidepressants."
Three individuals had been arrested and charged in connection to the musician's death. One of the suspects was Liam's friend, who allegedly supplied drugs and abandoned him in a vulnerable state. One other was a hotel employee, while a third individual was someone who allegedly provided Liam cocaine two days before his death.
