The 'One Tree Hill' star makes her debut in season 21 of 'Grey's Anatomy' as a trauma surgeon who shares her unique marital arrangement with Teddy Altman.

AceShowbiz - In the latest episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 21, Sophia Bush portrays Dr. Cass Beckman, a skilled trauma surgeon at Seattle Presbyterian Hospital. Her character encounters Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) and Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) at a restaurant while out on a date with her husband, David Beckman, a cardiothoracic surgeon at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

As Owen and David are summoned to work due to a surge of traumas, Teddy and Cass decide to dine at the restaurant. However, they later head to a nearby bar, finding it less stuffy. Over drinks and burgers, Teddy confides in Cass about the struggles in her marriage with Owen caused by their heavy workload.

Cass reveals that she and David have an open marriage, which has strengthened their relationship. As the night progresses, the women have a memorable and enjoyable time. Cass impulsively kisses Teddy, who promptly steps back, explaining that while her marriage to David may be open, hers with Owen is not.

When Teddy shares the incident with Owen, assuming he would find it amusing, he becomes furious and storms off. Despite initially appearing as a one-time guest star, Dr. Cass Beckman will continue to recur throughout Grey's Anatomy season 21.

Sophia Bush is known for her roles on "One Tree Hill", "Chicago P.D." and "Love, Victor". She has also played medical professionals in "Good Sam", "Chicago Med" and "Nip/Tuck". Notably, Bush is set to reprise her iconic role as Brooke Davis in the upcoming "One Tree Hill" sequel series, which she will also executive produce alongside Hilarie Burton Morgan and Danneel Ackles.
