'The Little Mermaid' star Halle Bailey admits she may have overreacted when raising her concerns after baby daddy DDG brought their little son on a live stream without her consent.

The singer and "The Little Mermaid" actress seemed to have taken issue with DDG's decision to bring their son, Halo, on a Twitch livestream with popular content creator Kai Cenat.
However, she has since regretted her previous outburst, wishing she had reacted differently to the situation. In her first post after her online brief break, Halle wrote, "Yesterday maybe i did overreact and shouldn't have brought it here. i know that halo is always safe with his dad. i just don't like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing. thank u kai for the gifts for halo."
The drama began when Bailey, 24, posted a now-deleted tweet expressing her frustration about not being informed beforehand about the livestream appearance. "Hi everyone. just so you know i am out of town and i don't approve of my baby being on a stream tonight. I wasn't told or notified and i am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people," she shared. "I am his mother and protector and saddened that i wasn't notified especially when i am out of town."
DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., had previously announced their split in early October, expressing that the decision was mutual and made after heartfelt conversations.
"After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways," the 27-year-old rapper stated. "The decision was not easy, but we believe it's the best part forward for both of us. I cherish the time we've spent together and the love we shared."
The former couple went public with their relationship in March 2022 and welcomed their first child, Halo, in December 2023. Bailey has emphasized her desire to keep her young family's life private, only revealing pictures of Halo several months post-birth.
