AceShowbiz - Lil Scrappy issued an apology for saying that he would make his kids take DNA tests. In a new Instagram video, the former star of "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" showed remorse over the remarks, saying that he wasn't serious about the matter.
"I have to apologize for certain things because people be taking my stuff seriously," he said in the Wednesday, November 6 video. Referring to his DNA test comments, he added, "I know my babies are my babies, they look like me, they act like me when I was a baby. And they're mine. So, I won't do all that."
Scrappy, who recently confirmed that he's expecting another child, claimed that he wasn't serious about the DNA test plan, saying, "Don't take that so seriously. Y'all see me with my kids. Y'all see me how I adore my kids and my kids adore me. That's not even a real thought to have them tested. But if I did want to do it, I would do it with no problem because it'd be because I wanted to do it, right?"
Later, the rapper addressed his comments in which he criticized black people who chose to support Donald Trump. "There's also another thing I said that I want to apologize for. … I shouldn't have said that. I should have said, 'Vote for who you vote for,' " Scrappy, who publicly showed support for Kamala Harris, said.
Scrappy's post came after he joked during a recent Instagram Live that his children needed DNA tests. "Of course, I'm gon' get a DNA, I need to get it on all of 'em," he said. "The f**k. Y'all think people so perfect man… y'all look at men and think men are horrible and the women are perfect. Anybody that think that y'all are f**king dum dums." However, he later clarified in an Instagram comment, writing, "I was joking dayum."
Prior to that, Scrappy made headlines for criticizing black people who didn't opt to stand with Kamala. "Imma remember you, and you not gone be black to me no more," he said in an October 28 video. "At all. You not gone be Black to me. Don't try to shake my hand, I'm not going to shake your hand."
The ex-husband of Bambi continued, "I'm gon pray for you. That's what imma do, and if something was to ever happen to your kids one day and the police do it, and they get immunity. I'm not coming to march for you; imma pray for you and your family because you are the reason why it happened."
