AceShowbiz - Teddi Mellencamp, a familiar face from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," recently announced her decision to file for divorce from her husband Edwin Arroyave after 13 years of marriage. Following her announcement on November 2, Arroyave took to Instagram to share his thoughts on coping with life's hardships through maintaining healthy habits and rituals.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Arroyave emphasized the importance of good habits, especially during challenging times. One post showed a screenshot from an app tracking his sleep schedule, revealing that he received over nine hours of sleep with an "optimal" sleep score. "I recently spoke about just getting 3 hours of sleep a night," he mentioned. "Finally got some rest!"
Further underscoring his commitment to personal wellness, Arroyave shared a selfie taken at a yoga studio, declaring the role of rituals and habits in maintaining one's motivation. "Having good habits is what will get you through your dark days," he noted. "It's when you're under pressure that your true character is revealed."
He also posted a group picture with his children while they were on the way to church. "Church bound with these beautiful souls," he wrote. His estranged wife was noticeably absent from the family trip.
Mellencamp, on the other hand, expressed her commitment to her children's wellbeing during this new chapter of their lives. In her Instagram statement, she shared, "After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter."
She concluded by highlighting the importance of honesty and vulnerability in protecting her family from undue speculation and rumors.
Despite the recent split, Mellencamp was spotted with her wedding ring still on, highlighting the complex nature of their separation.
Meanwhile, Just a week before her divorce announcement, Arroyave had shared a heartfelt tribute to Mellencamp for her courageous transparency about her melanoma battle. "Her story has already saved lives. And I couldn't be prouder that she will continue to save more. Love you, Teds," he wrote in the October 25 post.
The couple, who married in 2011, shares three children - Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4 - while Mellencamp is also a stepmom to Arroyave's daughter Isabella, 15. As they navigate this transitional phase in their relationship, both Mellencamp and Arroyave seem committed to maintaining their individual strengths and prioritizing their family's well-being.
