In the ongoing Sseason 26 of "The Voice", the Top 56 artists are divided into four teams of 14. The coaches pair up their team members and select a song for a duet. After the performance, the coach declares the winner, who advances to the Knockout round. The loser can be stolen by a fellow coach.

Each coach has two steals available. In the battles that aired before Stancil's, Deon Jones was stolen to Team Gwen, while Creigh Riepe was eliminated.
