Jamie Foxx, the Oscar-winning actor and comedian, recently returned to the stage with a series of performances in Atlanta. In an emotional Instagram post, he shared snapshots from his show, "One More Chance: An Evening with Jamie Foxx," and expressed his "pure joy" at being back.
He took the opportunity to emotionally narrate his side of the story during this remarkable event, describing it as "an artistic explanation of something that went terribly wrong."
Foxx, who had been away from the stage for 18 years, was visibly emotional during his performance, wiping tears and hugging fans. The medical emergency that sidelined the "Django Unchained" star remains largely undisclosed, but Foxx did share that it started with a "bad headache." He was then "gone for 20 days" and doesn't "remember anything" about that period. His daughter, Corinne Foxx, had initially informed the public through social media about her father's "medical complication."
His heartfelt recounting of these events resonated with the audience, making the show both moving and inspirational. During one segment of his show, Foxx played the piano, further showcasing his range of talents.
The actor's return to work included walking his daughter Corinne down the aisle at her wedding to Joe Hooten, a moment that many found incredibly moving.
