Kate Winslet received the prestigious Golden Icon Award, showcasing her illustrious career and presenting her latest film titled 'Lee' at the 20th Zurich Film Festival.

AceShowbiz - On October 7, Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet was honored with the Golden Icon Award at the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland. The award recognizes her outstanding achievements in global cinema.
Accompanied by Lee Miller's son, Antony Penrose, and the film's co-producer, Kate Solomon, Winslet premiered her latest film, "Lee". The biopic, directed by Ellen Kuras, follows the life of renowned fashion model and war photographer Lee Miller. Winslet portrayed Miller and co-produced the feature.
Winslet's illustrious career spans over three decades, with her breakout role in Peter Jackson's "Heavenly Creatures" in 1994. She achieved global recognition alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in "Titanic" (1997), balancing studio blockbusters with independent and arthouse projects.
Her acclaimed performances include "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and "The Reader", for which she won an Oscar. She is also a two-time Emmy winner for "Mildred Pierce" and "Mare of Easttown".

Through her portrayal of Lee Miller, Winslet illuminates the untold stories of the Third Reich, highlighting Miller's fearless spirit as one of the most influential war photographers of the 20th century.
Previous recipients of the Zurich Golden Icon Award include Jessica Chastain, Hugh Jackman, Cate Blanchett and Hugh Grant. The 20th Zurich Film Festival ran from October 3 to 13.
