AceShowbiz - Justin Timberlake apparently has agreed to join NSYNC's comeback. It has been reported that the "Can't Stop the Feeling!" hitmaker is coming along for the boy band's "major reunion" after allegedly disappointing his bandmates with his radio silence.
On Thursday, October 3, sources confirmed to The U.S. Sun that all five singers of the band are "closer than ever" to "a full-scale return." Speaking to the media outlet, one of the sources spilled, "The guys have always known that a major reunion should happen, but with them all heading toward 50 the timing is important - especially if a performance is involved."
The source went on to say, "There are lots of proposals on the table but one major idea is that they put together a docuseries about their journey. All of them would come together and talk about their experiences in the band. The success of the David Beckham documentary showed what can be created by revisiting 90s pop culture history."
"There would be interest from all the streamers for a project like that," the insider continued. "And people forget that NSYNC's story is vast, controversial and features interactions with many A-listers with so many inside details to be spilled. It is not just all about Justin and his dramas. Each band member has untold stories and secrets to spill. The revelations that the boys are sitting on are huge."
The insider explained, "Music is definitely involved, but the reunion on stage is a little trickier. Certainly there is a definite plan to join forces and sing some hits no matter what comes next. However, how they play out is still in the mix. There have been ideas like a 'one night only' recorded special where they come together in front of a celebrity audience which is included in the docuseries, or is actually presented to a network or streamer as the project."
"It's obvious that would generate a huge amount of money," the informant then stated. "Then there is the mega ambitious proposal for a full-scale comeback gig at a prestigious venue like the Hollywood Bowl which would be recorded for sale. However that doesn't mean that the band would head out back on the road. They have been offered opportunities to play residencies in Vegas but are not going down that road."
About NSYNC's new music, the informant elaborated, "They have written some musical ideas and been offered tracks for a new single which could expand into a new album or expanded greatest hits. Certainly there is much love from the fanbase to spark interest in their music having a big comeback for a new generation."
Prior to the revelation, it was said that Justin left his four bandmates, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and JC Chasez, disappointed for not responding to the group's tour offers. A source shared in July, "Justin and his team have yet to address respective proposals for a possible [NSYNC] stadium tour next summer," adding, "The other guys are disappointed with Justin's radio silence."
