The incarcerated record executive names Clive Davis, Russell Simmons and Andre Harrell as powerful music executives who allegedly used drugs, alcohol and sex to 'control' those successful artists.

AceShowbiz - The music industry might be darker than what people have been thinking, according to Suge Knight. Amid Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' legal drama, the former Death Row Records CEO claims that there are evil people who used to "control" some successful artists, including the embattled hip-hop mogul.
In an interview from behind bars, Knight told NewsNation on Tuesday, September 24 that Diddy, Usher and Justin Bieber are victims of abuse at the hands of those powerful and evil music executives. He went on naming Clive Davis, Russell Simmons and Andre Harrell as the persons who introduced "alcohol," "drugs" and "sex" to "control" those artists.
"Those guys … they introduced cocaine to my artists," the incarcerated record executive said in the interview. "So once they got on cocaine, once they got on drugs, once they got on alcohol, then that's when the weird stuff happened. I think that's what took Puffy [Combs] down that lane."
The convicted felon alleged that Davis, Simmons and Harrell used "alcohol, drugs" to "compromise" Combs' "manhood." He explained, "[Combs] was taught that. He got Usher as a kid ... alcohol, drugs, sex. Justin Bieber - and see they do these things to take control. ... You choose to be gay that's your preference, but they're doing this to people for control."
Davis, Simmons and Harrell have never been charged with the allegations made by Knight. While Harrell, who mentored Diddy, died from heart failure in 2020 and cannot defend himself, a spokesperson for Davis emphatically denies the claims made about the legendary music producer.
"This is a completely fabricated thread that is being trafficked by an incarcerated felon," the rep told Page Six on Wednesday. "Mr. Knight's assertions about Clive Davis are 100 percent false as nothing of the sort ever happened." The spokesperson added, "Clive is a mentor to artists and, in keeping with this, never ever condoned any such inappropriate behavior."
Davis, who was the president of Columbia Records and spearheaded the careers of stars like Whitney Houston, Barry Manilow and Aerosmith, has never been accused or convicted of any sex crimes. He, however, has proven to be loyal to Diddy.
In January, months after Diddy was sued by Cassie for rape in November 2023, Davis still invited the rapper to his annual pre-Grammy bash. "Puffy is perennially invited to the party. He's always on the list," a source told Page Six at the time.
As for Simmons, he himself faced rape accusations from multiple women in the past, leading the 66-year-old Def Jam Recordings co-founder to step away from his companies and retreat to a more private life in Bali.
Meanwhile, reps for Diddy, Bieber and Usher have not responded to the claims made by Knight.
