Heather Locklear shares her experience going on a date with famous actor Tom Cruise over 40 years ago and explains why it didn't lead to them having a second date.

AceShowbiz - At a panel at 90s Con Florida, Heather Locklear opened up about her surprising date with Tom Cruise in the early 1980s. The actress, now 62, shared that they met at an audition and went out dancing at Club Lingerie.
Locklear recalled Cruise as "very cute," but admitted that his "yes ma'am" demeanor and her "rock and roll girl" personality didn't mesh well together. She also noted that Cruise showcased his famous "Risky Business" dance moves during their date.
Further elaborating on their first encounter, Locklear stated, "I was like, 'Okay, sir.' " She added that while Cruise was polite, he "didn't quite cut it" for a second date.
"He ended up coming over to my house with Sean Penn," Locklear said. "And they were just nice, but he was very, 'yes ma'am' to me, and I was like, 'okay, sir.' "
Locklear's revelation about her date with Cruise comes after she mentioned it briefly in a 2013 interview on "Chelsea Lately". In that interview, she recalled Cruise's "Risky Business" dance moves, saying, "You just kind of stand there and don't know what to do. Do you dance around him? So, I was like, 'I'll just sit down and you can.' "
Despite their brief encounter, Locklear and Cruise both went on to have significant relationships. Locklear married Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and Bon Jovi lead guitarist Richie Sambora, while Cruise was married to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes.
