A friend of the 'Melrose Place' alum insists that she is 'lucid' and 'doing great' despite reports that she's off the wagon again, blaming 'a bad day' for her worrying photos.

AceShowbiz - Heather Locklear doesn't relapse into her old ways, despite reports stating otherwise. The actress has been defended by her friends amid allegation that she's drinking again after her apparent "meltdown."
"Heather is most definitely not drinking, she hasn't for years," a source told Page Six on Wednesday, July 5, after she looked in distress outside a medical center in Malibu, California late last month. Taking it personally, the "Dynasty" star is "very upset at that allegation," the source said, adding, "It's super hurtful."
As for what led to Heather's erratic behavior that day, the source said she received some "upsetting news," but was not otherwise troubled. "She was definitely upset," the source stressed.
Sharing a similar account of Heather's current condition, a friend has said that the actress is "feeling good" and is "totally lucid." Sharan Magnuson, who has been friends with the star since they met in acting class in 1981, claimed, "I just FaceTimed with Heather today and she's doing great."
"We text all the time and we had lunch together only a few weeks ago, we had the best time, we laughed and reminisced. Heather looked fantastic, she was lucid - she's the best she's looked in years," the former top Warner Bros PR executive detailed.
Sharan, who said she last saw Heather in May, went on describing the "Melrose Place" alum, "She's 100 percent the Heather I know and love, I don't know who is trying to spread these rumors that she's unwell, but it's incredibly cruel."
Sharan went on blaming "a bad day" for Heather's worrying photos, remarking, "Everyone is allowed a bad day."
The friends spoke on behalf of Heather after Daily Mail reported that Heather has fallen off the wagon, sparking concerns among her relatives, including ex-husband Richie Sambora. "Heather is drinking," a source told the U.K. news outlet.
"The family is very worried. Everyone feels helpless. Richie her family, especially her daughter Ava who loves her so much," said the source, adding that Ava has had a tough time having a "front-row seat to her mother's addictions."
The source went on alleging that the 61-year-old has used Ozempic to lose weight. "Tequila has always been her drink. She can't stay away from it. She's also on Ozempic and obsesses over her weight. She's lost 40lbs," the source dished. "She obsesses over her weight."
Heather displayed erratic behavior when leaving a building in Malibu, California on June 29. She was seen balancing along the ledge of the building while wearing a pair of flip-flops and gripping onto pillars for support.
She was then seen sitting at the top of a staircase for a while where she read from a journal and began talking to her herself, leaving her fiance Chris Heisser waiting in his car for over an hour. At one point, she pointed angrily to something written in the diary and was gesticulating in an animated fashion before putting her journal back into her purse. She then ran over to Chris and the pair drove off together.
