AceShowbiz - Marlon Wayans believes Jennifer Lopez has remained humble and approachable despite achieving fame. Wayans' comments come after his "In Living Color" co-star Tommy Davidson claimed that Lopez's behavior had changed after becoming more famous.
On the "Club Shay Shay" podcast, Wayans said, "From my experience, J.Lo blew up, and when I saw her, it's always love. Always." He added, "She's never been like, 'Oh, I'm above you now. She's never been like that."
Wayans also revealed that Lopez played a role in his casting in Ben Affleck's 2023 film, "Air". He said, "She told [Affleck] [to cast me]. He was like, 'I need a good actor to do this role, and I want somebody good-looking to play George Raveling. And she said, 'What about Marlon? He's a great dramatic actor.' "
Despite Davidson's claims of feeling dismissed by Lopez, Wayans understands the challenges of being a high-profile celebrity. He said, "It's hard for everybody to always [want your] attention, especially when you [are] her [and] you [are] being pulled this way, you're being pulled that way."
Wayans has fond memories of Lopez from their time on "In Living Color". He recalled, "She was a beautiful little Puerto Rican girl to me. J.Lo's always been beautiful and see her talent and see her blow up and see her become a brand, y'all!"
