AceShowbiz - New details about Amy Slaton's recent arrest have surfaced online. It was reported that "1,000-Lb. Sisters" star Tammy Slaton picked up her sister's children after her sibling was arrested on drug and child endangerment charges at the Tennessee Safari Park zoo.
According to PEOPLE, after Amy was taken into custody on Monday, September 2, Tammy got her two nephews, Gage Deon, four, and Glenn Allen, two. It was, however, unknown if Tammy picked up the kids at the zoo or later in the afternoon at the Crockett County Sheriff's Office.
The new details came after Amy and Tammy's sister Amanda spoke about the matter in a Facebook post. "Tonight we pray for the momma who needs to know it's all going to be okay," she wrote in the post. "Lord, she has so many situations where she needs You to intervene, but she has one thing that often comes to the surface of her heart and causes her to question if it really is going to be alright."
Amanda went on saying, "Tonight, we ask You to reminder her that You always work everything out for her good... just because You love her. Quiet every lie that causes her to question Your goodness. Help her believe it's going to be okay. Give her peace. We ask in Jesus's name, Amen."
Alongside Brian Scott Lovvorn, who is facing the same charges, Amy was arrested on Labor Day. The Crockett County Sheriff's Department said in a statement to PEOPLE that they discovered "what they believed to be mushrooms" and "what they believed to be marijuana" inside Amy's vehicle after smelling marijuana in the car and seeing the drugs out "in plain sight."
Both Amy and Brian were arrested and faced charges of illegal possession of schedule I, illegal possession of schedule VI and two counts of child endangerment. They were eventually released on a $10,000 bond on the afternoon of Tuesday.
Prior to her arrest, Amy claimed that she was bitten by a camel at the Alamo safari park. However, the park's management, including owner Jon Conley, denied the claims.
