AceShowbiz - Amid reports of a blossoming romance with Emily Ratajkowski, singer-songwriter Shaboozey is locked in a legal battle with his former label, Kreshendo Entertainment. According to a lawsuit filed by Shaboozey, Kreshendo allegedly employed questionable tactics to prevent him from reclaiming his songwriting rights.
Despite his recent success with the hit country single "A Bar Song (Tipsy)", Shaboozey claims that Kreshendo refuses to return his publishing rights, limiting his earnings. Shaboozey's lawyer alleges that Warner-Tamerlane, a company he sought a deal with, is withholding the total amount owed to exit the agreement under pressure from Kreshendo.
Shaboozey also accuses Kreshendo of interfering with his publishing rights and releasing songs without his consent, despite the termination of their contract in 2019. DailyMail has reached out to representatives of Shaboozey, Kreshendo and Warner-Tamerlane for comment.
Meanwhile, Shaboozey and Ratajkowski have sparked dating rumors following recent public appearances together. They were spotted leaving Ratajkowski's New York City apartment in the same clothes they wore the night before a movie date and attended the star-studded premiere of "Blink Twice".
Shaboozey (born Collins Obinna Chibueze) gained recognition in the music scene in 2018 with his song "Start a Riot (feat. Duckwrth)" for the "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" soundtrack. He gained further prominence in 2024 with his collaboration with Beyonce Knowles on "SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN'" and "SPAGHETTI".
