The film also features a new family dynamic, with Anna now having a daughter and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. "It's a love letter to mothers and daughters," Curtis stated at D23. "It's so beautiful to see the three generations in this."
Lohan echoed Curtis's sentiments, adding, "Anna has become a little bit like Tess in a way very much in this ... which is what happens in life. You always become a little bit like your mom!"
