The 'Maggie May' hitmaker has canceled additional North American shows because of COVID-19 diagnosis, just a few days after calling off Vegas gig due to a struggle with strep throat.

AceShowbiz - Rod Stewart has announced the cancellation of two more shows on his North American tour after contracting COVID-19. The singer's Stateline, Nevada concert on August 9 and his Lincoln, California show on August 10 have been rescheduled to August 20 and August 18, respectively.

This news comes on the heels of Stewart's cancellation of his August 7 performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas due to strep throat. In a statement, Stewart's team expressed their regret and noted that tickets purchased for the postponed shows will be honored.

Despite these setbacks, Stewart has some positive news to share. His Las Vegas residency, "The Hits", is set to return for an encore in 2025. Stewart will perform at The Colosseum from March 12-22 and May 29-June 8, with shows set to feature his biggest hits and surprises from his extensive song catalog.

Stewart's North American tour continues through September, with stops in six different cities across the U.S. Following the tour, he is scheduled to play several shows in Europe in December before resuming his Las Vegas residency in 2025.

Despite his recent health challenges, Stewart remains optimistic and determined to perform for his fans. He recently told the US Sun, "I'm aware my days are numbered but I've got no fear. We have all got to pass on at some point, so we are all in the same basket."
