AceShowbiz - Rod Stewart is set to grace the Glastonbury stage once again after 23 years. The rock icon will perform in the coveted Sunday afternoon slot at the 2025 festival, following in the footsteps of legendary artists like Dolly Parton and Shania Twain.

Stewart, known for hits like "Maggie May" and "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?," has sold over 120 million records worldwide and is one of the best-selling artists of all time. His performance at Glastonbury will mark the first time he has headlined the festival and been given the special "Legends" billing.

Despite announcing that he will be stepping back from "large-scale world tours," Stewart remains enthusiastic about performing. He said on social media, "I'm proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June."

Stewart's appearance at Glastonbury will not only make him one of the oldest performers in the festival's history but also put him in esteemed company. Paul McCartney performed at the event in 2022 at the age of 80, and Burt Bacharach holds the record as the oldest person to play Glastonbury at the age of 87.

Stewart's 2025 schedule is already packed, including his "One Last Time" tour across the U.S. and Canada, beginning in Austin, Texas, and concluding in St. Louis. He will also be wrapping up his 13-year Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from March through June.

The lineup for Glastonbury 2025 has not yet been fully announced, but Stewart's confirmation is a major draw for fans. The festival, which takes place from June 25-29, will mark the first time it has taken place in two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets have already sold out, but a limited selection will be available in January.
