AceShowbiz - On Sunday, July 14, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling remembered their former "Beverly Hills, 90210" co-star, Shannen Doherty, after her passing from cancer at age 53. Garth took to Instagram to share heartfelt words, posting two throwback pictures of herself with Doherty from the hit 1990s drama. She expressed her deep sorrow and described Doherty as "one of the strongest people I have ever known."
"Our connection was real and honest," Garth wrote. "We were so often pitted against each other, but none of that reflected the truth of our real relationship which was one built on mutual respect and admiration." She went on to say that Doherty was "courageous, passionate, determined, and very loving and generous."
Spelling also posted a tribute on her Instagram Stories, sharing a selfie with Doherty and a row of broken hearts. She hinted that there would be more to come, writing, "I don't have outward words yet, but WE knew and that's what matters."
Other "90210" cast members have also expressed their condolences. Jason Priestley, who played Doherty's on-screen twin brother, said, "She was a force of nature and I will miss her," while Brian Austin Green, who played David Silver, thanked Doherty for "the gift of you."
Doherty, known for her roles as Brenda Walsh on "Beverly Hills, 90210" and Prue Halliwell on "Charmed", had battled breast cancer since 2015. Her passing has left a profound void in the hearts of her loved ones and fans alike.
