AceShowbiz - Kesha has hit back at online critics after getting body-shamed. The "Die Young" singer, formerly known as Ke$ha, told body-shamers to hate her "harder" after receiving unpleasant comments on her appearance.
On Sunday, July 7, the 37-year-old songstress took her time to react to negative comments on her body via social media. Making use of X, formerly known as Twitter, she wrote, "I didn't think in 2024 people still body shamed but. i am so proud of my body."
Talking about her body, Kesha went on to say, "She's been through a lot. she's torn her acl on stage and finished the show. she's held my fucking broken heart together." She then pointed out, "To those who think you're shaming me, you're actually making me feel very powerful."
The "Tik Tok" hitmaker further penned, "So, to you, i hope you one day feel whole enough to not tear other women down." Concluding her message, she stated, "In the mean time, hate me harder b***h," before adding smiling face and bicep emojis.
In the same tweet, Kesha also uploaded a series of photos in which she proudly embraced her body. One of the pictures captured her lying down on the sand at a beach as she gazed at the sky. She looked relaxed while placing both of her hands underneath her head.
Another snap showed the "Your Love Is My Drug" singer striking a pose in what appeared to be a resort overlooking a beach. She was photographed fixing her hat as she flaunted her figure in a sizzling outfit, including a skimpy black bra top that allowed her to show off the tattoos on her arm and midriff.
To match the top, Kesha rocked a pair of black undies and a black hat, which came with white embroideries on its front side. She kept her body warm with a long-sleeved white outer that was long enough to reach her knees. In addition, she let loose her long blonde tresses.
After sharing the tweet, X users came to Kesha's defense. One in particular wrote, "We stand with you!" Another gushed, "You're truly beautiful and im sorry that people are commenting on your body especially for the reason they are doing it." A third asked, "WHO IS SHAMING THIS GODDESS ?!"
