AceShowbiz - Marlon Wayans has a few words to say about the ongoing beef among famous rappers. Upon learning that Rick Ross was attacked amid his feud with Drake, the former star of "The Wayans Bros." warned people of deadly rap beef.
On Monday, July 1, the 51-year-old comedian made use of his Instagram page to share his advice. He suggested that it will be better if the ongoing beefs, including Drake's feud with Kendrick Lamar and Rick's beef with The Game, are ended.
Marlon wrote, "Dear Hip Hop. It's all fun and games until people start getting hurt." Making a reference to late artists Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., he recalled, "Remember this, HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF! I knew Tupac, I knew Biggie. I partied with them, hung out with them, saw them both 20 minutes before they got shot."
The actor went on to stress, "Violence is real. Everyone can be touched. Don't entertain the devil." He then showed love to Drizzy, Rozay, K.Dot and The Game, "I love @champagnepapi love @richforever love @kendricklamar love @losangelesconfidentinal and I say to all my brothers there's enough for everyone to eat."
Mentioning J. Cole, who publicly ended his beef with K.Dot earlier this year, Marlon continued, "Y'all all need to what @realcolworld did. With peace, with love, with positivity. Life is short... even shorter if you spend your energy on breaking each other down instead of building each other up." He additionally stated, "Hate seeing any of our kings at war. We are too few. STOP! And I say this with love. Always OG MW."
The message came after Rozay was attacked for playing K.Dot's diss track against Drizzy titled "Not Like Us". The violence occurred after Rozay took the stage at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver, Canada over the weekend (June 29 or 30). At that time, he decided to close out his set by playing the song.
Following the performance, the "Aston Martin Music" spitter got into a heated argument with a man who ultimately struck him in the head as a brief brawl ensued. The fight eventually broke up and everyone went their separate ways.
