AceShowbiz - Tiffany Haddish, the acclaimed comedian and actress, made headlines by visiting the White House for the very first time. Appearing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on June 12, she discussed the significant event while promoting her new book, "I Curse You with Joy". Haddish, 44, humorously recounted her experience and reflected on her previous disinvitation from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
During her conversation with host Jimmy Kimmel, Haddish revealed, "Yes, I got invited to the White House, which I was like, 'What? Y'all invited me?' Very first time at the White House." She explained that she had been invited a few years back, only to be later disinvited for being "too controversial." She questioned, "Somebody said I was controversial, can you believe it?"
The atmosphere lightened as Kimmel remarked, "Well, I guess you're not controversial anymore, because they invited you back," to which Haddish jokingly responded, "They needed some color at the White House." Haddish also explained the actual reason for her invite, saying, "No, it's Jewish heritage month last month so I was invited because I'm Jewish and it was so nice."
Haddish detailed her curious adventure around the White House, expressing her desire to see where her tax dollars were being utilized. The comedic star also mentioned her memorable interaction with President Joe Biden. Prior to the meeting, she admitted humorously suspecting Biden might be "an android or some robot," wondering where his buttons were.
She continued with her signature humor, "He came up to me and I said, 'Hi, I'm Tiffany Haddish,' and he goes, 'I know who you are,' and he started leaning in. I was like, 'Oh, he's failing. System failing! System failing!' " The conversation escalated in laughter as a video displayed Biden and Haddish appearing to touch heads.
