The 'I Drove All Night' songstress, who was diagnosed with a rare health issue, tells Hoda Kotb that she will hit the stage again 'even if I have to crawl' or talk with her hands.

AceShowbiz - Celine Dion is determined that she will hit the stage again despite her health issue. The "I Drove All Night" songstress, who has been in a battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, vowed to "go back onstage."

The 56-year-old music legend opened up about her intention to entertain her fans again. Speaking to "Today" show's co-host Hoda Kotb in an interview published by NBC on Tuesday, June 11, she said, "It didn't take anything away from me. I'm going to go back onstage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will."

Celine went on to state, "I am Celine Dion, because today my voice will be heard for the first time, not just because I have to, or because I need to." She continued, "It's because I want to and I miss it." In response, Hoda, who was emotional during the chat, replied, "And we miss you."

Before the full interview was released, Hoda shared what she learned after having a chat with Celine. In the Thursday, May 23 episode of "Today With Hoda and Jenna", the 59-year-old news anchor said, "Celine Dion at some point, she is now much better, but at some point, she almost died, which is something that she says."

Hoda gave more details about the interview on the "Today" show. She stated, "She was diagnosed with a terrible disease, and at one point, she wondered if she was going to make it, whether she was going to live through it. And she talks about what it's done to her voice and the possibility of a comeback. We've missed her and it was a very emotional interview. We'll see where she is in her journey of coming back but I know people are cheering her on."

Celine broke the news about her diagnosis back in 2022. Her condition has seemingly gotten better recently as she made her high-fashion comeback in a Vogue France magazine cover, which was published in April. Earlier in May, she looked in good spirits when she watched The Rolling Stones perform in Las Vegas.
