Jodie Turner-Smith's daughter is reportedly too frightened to watch her in the upcoming Star Wars series, 'The Acolyte', despite her love for the franchise.

AceShowbiz - Jodie Turner-Smith has joined the "Star Wars" universe with her role in the upcoming Disney+ series, "The Acolyte". While she's thrilled to be part of such an iconic franchise, she revealed that showing the trailer to her 4-year-old daughter, Juno Rose Diana Jackson, had an unexpected reaction.

Turner-Smith explained that Juno is already a "Star Wars" fan, having been introduced to it through the "Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures" cartoon. However, when she showed Juno the trailer for "The Acolyte", described as a "mystery-thriller," her daughter was frightened.

"I did make the mistake of showing her the trailer and she was like, 'Scary!' I was like, 'Sorry,' " Turner-Smith said.

Despite the initial scare, Turner-Smith believes that one day Juno will be able to appreciate her mother's work. She hopes to voice a character in the "Young Jedi Adventures" series to make something her daughter can enjoy.

'The Acolyte' takes place in the final days of the High Republic era and follows a former Padawan who reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes. Turner-Smith's character, though not a Jedi or Sith, is part of an ensemble cast that includes Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen and Carrie-Anne Moss.

While Turner-Smith couldn't reveal specific details about her role, she shared that the series will explore the Jedi from a new perspective. It will examine those who challenge the binary of light and dark sides, questioning the nature of both the Jedi and the institutions they represent.

"The Acolyte" premieres on Disney+ on June 4.
