AceShowbiz - Ice-T stands by his opinion on Lenny Kravitz's celibacy. After facing backlash for judging the singer's decision to remain abstinent from sex for years, the rapper insists that it's not normal for a guy to "voluntarily" go 9 years without having sex.
The married actor continued to weigh in on Lenny's confession via his X, formerly known as Twitter, account. "Hey..... If you're a Guy and you can voluntarily go 9yrs without sex... You're following the wrong page..," he claimed on Thursday, May 30.
A user disagreed with Ice-T and wrote to him, "Why judge him though? It's his choice. He's different to you..." Defending Lenny, the person continued, "I don't think it's fair to assume something is wrong with him just because he's chosen to be celibate for a long period. I think there are many humans who can & do abstain for long periods for various reasons. Choice."
However, Ice-T still can't understand Lenny's choice to go celibate for nine years as he can't relate to it. He responded to the fan's tweet, "S**t's Weird to me..... I love to F**k. A lot."
Lenny got candid about his personal life in an interview with The Guardian which was published earlier on Thursday. The singer, who has not been in a serious relationship for nine years, previously told the interviewer, Simon Hattenstone, that he "wanted to be celibate until [he] found the right woman." When asked if he was serious when he said that, the ex-husband of Lisa Bonet replied, "Yes. It's a spiritual thing."
According to the outlet, Lenny said "he'd love to be in a relationship now, but he thinks he might struggle." Of the reason why, the 60-year-old explained, "I have become very set in my ways, in the way I live."
Responding to the interview, Ice-T initially tweeted, "9yrs without Sex? F that BS. Weirdo s**t." When someone pointed out that Lenny is in "his own journey," the "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" star replied, "F that Journey.... lol."
