AceShowbiz - Khloe Kardashian faced backlash for her remarks in a new episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians". In the Thursday, May 30 episode of the series, the Good American founder shared that raising two kids without a live-in nanny is exhausting.
"Every day after 8:30, when True's asleep, I am, like, crawling," Khloe shared in the episode. "Like, I'm Leonardo DiCaprio out of '[The Wolf of Wall Street]' to my bed, like, how do I get there? Then, you wake up again and you do it all. … And make the lunches."
The 39-year-old mom of two went on saying that she feels obligated to do the "cute s**t" such as making "cookie-cutter hearts for the watermelon" for her children, True and Tatum Thompson, whom she shares with ex Tristan Thompson. "Like, once you start the cute s**t that you're so excited to do, God forbid, you don't," she explained.
"But it's amazing. Like, at the same time, it's all you want. It's the weirdest thing. Because you're exhausted. and you're like, 'I'm gonna die,' and then literally when they're asleep by 10, I'm like, 'I miss them.' Like, 'Get it together Khloe, snap out of it,' " she added.
The episode also saw Khloe complaining about not having a live-in nanny. "I don't have a parent to stay with them and then I was thinking, the whole family is out of the country," she told sister Kourtney Kardashian. "I was like, 'What if there's an earthquake? What if there's something and there's no parent?' So, I was just freaking myself out."
"And, you know, I don't have nannies at night, which I might have to change or at least have someone be available sometimes," she further noted, before adding that she's "just so hands-on" when it comes to taking care of True. "I make her dinners, I do everything. I don't let anyone else do it. Tristan has done it, but I'm so particular."
Upon catching wind of the episode, Internet users appeared to have zero sympathy for the reality TV star. "Welcome to the real world," one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. Some others pointed out that being able to hire nannies was a "luxury," while others told her to "try that without any help plus a full-time job."
"Just shut up already! You have maids, chefs, daytime help! Talk to real women who do it all...on their own! Yuck!" a critic added. Similarly, one person wrote, "But has a chef, a maid, an assistant, and a nanny during the day. Give me a break." On the other hand, a troll sarcastically said, "Cool. So are the rest of us that are doing it not in a $20 million mansion."
