The Grammy-winning rapper/singer, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, says that she's just joking about calling her father a 'deadbeat' and a 'b***h' on social media.

AceShowbiz - Doja Cat has walked back comments about her father, Dumisani Dlamini. After publicly shamed him for being a "deadbeat," the "Planet Her" artist declared love for her dad, suggesting she was just messing around.

For the record, the 28-year-old wrote, "My dad's a deadbeat but I did well" on her X bio. On Monday, May 27, she also posted on her Instagram page a close-up image of her face and her behind clad in white pants, which she originally captioned, "Dad, lemme know when/if you need me to re-up your makeup cabinet cuz you a b***h."

The "Kiss Me More" raptress later updated the caption to read, "I'm gonna turn you into my next project and you're gonna have to listen to it for the rest of your god forsaken life." Also, she clapped back a critic who warned her to not disrespect her parent by noting, "Go give the deadbeat a kiss on the lips for me."

Another person commented on Doja's post, "That's so disrespectful..... do it again.." She replied, "gave me a lazy eye and dipped."

It didn't take long for Doja to have a change of heart though. Early Tuesday, May 28, the femcee edited the caption once again to, "[Just kidding]. Love you. I was mad."

Doja, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, was born to Dumisani, a South African performer of Zulu descent, and Deborah Sawyer, an American graphic designer of Jewish heritage. She has a brother, Raman Dalithando Dlamini, who was recently accused of being abusive toward his mother and famous sister.

While performing on Broadway, Dumisani was too busy on tour to spend time with Doja and her brother. The actor/dancer then left his family in the U.S. for South Africa out of homesickness. Doja has suggested on multiple occasions that she is estranged from her father despite his claims that he has a "healthy" relationship with his daughter.
