The actress, who is joined by fellow actor Ryan Gosling, discusses her children's reactions to seeing them onscreen, highlighting the challenges of being both parents and public figures.

AceShowbiz - Emily Blunt, 41, has shared how her daughters, Hazel and Violet, find it unsettling to watch her in certain roles, particularly one in Disney's "Jungle Cruise". "They don't love watching me on screen," Blunt said of her daughters, ages nine and seven, who she shares with her husband, John Krasinski. "Which I understand because I'm their mommy and it's very strange to see me play someone else."

This reaction extends to even family-friendly films like "The Muppets", "Mary Poppins Returns" and "Jungle Cruise". The latter, in particular, traumatized her girls due to the intense underwater scenes. "They've only seen 'Jungle Cruise' once," Blunt revealed. "They didn't like the underwater stuff where I'm trapped and I'm in peril."

In the action-comedy, Blunt plays Dr. Lily Houghton, an adventurer who professes her inability to swim. The story takes place along the Amazon River, putting her character in life-threatening underwater situations. Upon seeing their mother in danger onscreen, Hazel and Violet reportedly "started crying and left the room."

Ryan Gosling, Blunt's co-star in the stunt-heavy film "The Fall Guy", agreed with the girls' reaction. "I didn't like that, either," he told Blunt. "That was upsetting for me to watch you like that!"

Gosling's daughters, Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee, aged nine and eight, share similar concerns about their father's career. While shooting "The Fall Guy", Gosling shared that his kids "didn't want me to be set on fire. They were like, 'No. No fire.' So I didn't do it." In contrast, Gosling and Eva Mendes' daughters "don't care" about their parents' on-screen presence, he said, "They're not into it."
