CBS has canceled two of its scripted dramas, citing a lack of room on the schedule for the upcoming season, as both shows will air their season finales in May.

AceShowbiz - CBS has announced the cancellation of two of its scripted dramas, "CSI: Vegas" and "So Help Me Todd". Both shows were heavily on the bubble for renewal, despite being solid performers in the ratings.
However, with CBS's entire schedule performing well this season and several new drama series joining in 2024-25, the network had to make some difficult decisions. "CSI: Vegas" and "So Help Me Todd" ranked among the least-watched CBS drama series this spring in both linear and multi-platform ratings. Despite having more viewers than several renewed series on other networks, CBS's budget constraints and the need to make room for new additions led to their cancellations.
"CSI: Vegas", a revival of the iconic "CSI" franchise, featured a new cast of investigators working in the Las Vegas Crime Lab, including Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria and original series stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox. "So Help Me Todd" starred Marcia Gay Harden as a defense attorney and Skylar Astin as her private investigator son.
Both shows will air their season finales in May, which will serve as their series finales. Currently, only "The Equalizer" and "NCIS: Hawai'i" have yet to receive renewal decisions from CBS.
Despite the cancellations, CBS has a strong lineup of new series in the works for the upcoming season, including "NCIS: Origins", "Watson" and "Matlock" starring Kathy Bates.
