AceShowbiz - Ice Spice has disappointed many after performing one of her songs most likely from her new album. Before releasing "Y2K", the "Princess Diana" hitmaker let festivalgoers at the 2024 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival listen to her unreleased track.
Over the weekend (April 13 or 14), the 24-year-old hip-hop artist took the stage at the festival, which has been held since Friday at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, to entertain the attendees. At one point, she surprised the festivalgoers by delivering the unreleased song, which may be featured in her new album.
Ice could be heard rapping, "Hot box in the V, like give me a light (Light that)/ Fat a** in the pants feel tight (Yeah)/ Took her man, I'm getting him right/ Big knock, like why would I fight? (Fight)." She reiterated, "Hot box in the V, like give me a light (Light that)/ Fat a** in the pants feel tight (Yeah)/ Took her man, I'm getting him right/ Big knock, like why would I fight? (Fight)."
The "Think U The S**t (Fart)" spitter went on to spit, "Big knock, like I'm not a fighter (Grrah)/ Big Ice, I don't need a writer (Like)/ The man called me 'Baby' (Grrah)/ I'm a smoochie like I need a diaper."
During her set, Ice also entertained the audience by delivering her other tracks, including "Deli", "In Ha Mood", "Munch" and "No Clarity". When performing "No Clarity", she was supported by her pal and fellow artist Taylor Swift, who attended the set with her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce. Aside from Taylor, singers Justin Bieber and Sabrina Carpenter were spotted in the audience.
Later on, a video from the performance of the unreleased song was shared on Instagram, prompting social media users to voice their opinions on the new track. One in particular complained, "Sounds like a sped up version of everything else she's dropped." Another penned, "All I heard was something about her wearing a diaper." A third noted, "The fact the crowd only got loud when she bent over speaks volumes."
