According to a report, the 56-year-old Marvel actor had been invited as a speaker at the event after playing an environmental activist/attorney in the 2019 flick, 'Dark Waters'.

AceShowbiz - Mark Ruffalo was supposed to speak at a legal event, but his appearance was canceled due to his pro-Palestine views. The "Avengers: Endgame" star was reportedly scrapped from MTMP, "a conference for lawyers and their paralegals to discuss the ins and outs of class action lawsuits" among others.

According to TMZ, the 56-year-old had been invited as a speaker after playing an environmental activist/attorney in the 2019 flick, "Dark Waters". However, organizers decided to cancel his appearance because they didn't want the event, which is set to take place in early April, "to be overshadowed by the war in the Middle East," and by the actor as well.

Mark has been vocal about his support for Palestine. When attending the 2024 Oscars, he, along with Billie Eilish, Ava DuVernay, Ramy Youssef, FINNEAS and Mahershala Ali, donned red pins to show their support for the Gaza ceasefire.

Of the pin, Ramy said during a red carpet interview, "We're all calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. We're calling for the safety of everyone involved." The comedian continued, "We really want lasting justice and peace for the Palestinian people."

"We really just want to say, 'let's just stop killing children,' " the actor added. "There's so much there to process and it feels like the easiest way to have the conversations that people want to have is when they're isn't an active bombing campaign happening."

In a press statement, Artists4Ceasefire said, "The pin symbolizes collective support for an immediate and permanent cease-fire, the release of all of the hostages and for the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza." It further noted, "Compassion must prevail."
