AceShowbiz - Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is reportedly in discussions to host Amazon Prime Video's upcoming reboot of the game show "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?". Variety reported on March 19, 2024, that sources claim Kelce is in talks for the role.
This would be Kelce's first on-screen hosting gig since his reality series, "Catching Kelce", and he currently co-hosts the popular podcast "New Heights" with his brother Jason Kelce.
However, Variety notes that there are concerns about Kelce's availability as a busy football star. Despite these concerns, Kelce has yet to comment publicly on the report.
The upcoming reboot on Amazon Prime Video will reportedly feature celebrity guests instead of children, unlike the original series hosted by Jeff Foxworthy and John Cena.
Despite the potential hosting role, Kelce has expressed no interest in retiring from football anytime soon. After admitting to considering retirement in 2023 due to injuries, he clarified his intentions in January 2024, stating that he has no plans to quit the sport.
His brother Jason, a former Philadelphia Eagles center, retired from football in February 2024.
Kelce's profile has been steadily rising, especially with his high-profile relationship with pop star Taylor Swift. The couple, who began dating in 2023, is reportedly vacationing in an undisclosed location while Swift is on hiatus from her Eras Tour.
