AceShowbiz - NeNe Leakes won't be returning to the "The Real Housewives of Atlanta". If a new report is to be believed, the TV personality will not be back on the Bravo reality TV series despite rumors.
Sources told TMZ that the 56-year-old, who departed from the show in September 2020, "isn't in any talks to join the upcoming season 16." According to the outlet, producers haven't even reached out to her either to talk about it.
Rumors about NeNe returning to "RHOA" emerged in November 2023 after she reunited with her former co-stars Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams. At the time, Cynthia shared pictures of her hanging out with NeNe and "The Real Housewives of Dubai" star Lesa Milan in the Middle Eastern country.
They could be seen enjoying a golf outing for the MELT Middle East Golf Classic. In one picture, the trio was posing together on the golf course at a private party for the event.
In another video circulating online, NeNe and Cynthia were seen spending some fun time with Porsha at a restaurant. Joined by other ladies, the threesome shared laughs while creating a video poking fun at one of NeNe's iconic lines on the Bravo reality TV series.
Porsha herself confirmed her return earlier this month. Making use of her page, Porsha shared a video in which she said, "Who said that?" mimicking former co-star Kandi Burruss' famous line. "Porsha Williams coming back to 'Real Housewives of Atlanta'? That's false. But Porsha Guobadia is in the building. Haha, see ya, mwah!" she added.
Porsha additionally expressed her excitement in a statement. "I'm incredibly thankful for the vision and faith NBCUniversal has put in me to be a larger part of their family. I'm looking forward to being back on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta', and showing the world my new world!" she declared.
