AceShowbiz - A fan of Taylor Swift sadly lost her life while heading to the pop star's "Eras" concert in Australia. A teenager named Mieka Pokarier was killed in a car accident while she was traveling with her mother and 10-year-old sister from the Gold Coast to Melbourne.

The incident took place on Thursday, February 15 after their SUV crashed into a semi truck on Dunedoo Rd, Ballimore in New South Wales. The 16-year-old reportedly died at the scene, while her sibling was flown to Sydney's Westmead Hospital in a critical condition and placed in an induced coma, according to the New York Post.

Their mother, who was behind the wheel, was treated by paramedics and rushed to another hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the semi truck was also transported to a hospital and was in stable condition.

The girls' godmother, Karleigh Fox, wrote on a GoFundMe page that the younger sibling is "fighting for her life with brain injuries, a damaged pelvis and broken leg." Karleigh added, "The family have all had to cease work to fly down and I'm trying to get a flight to support the Mum as she's alone in Dubbo until we can get her to Sydney. Funds will be used to function in this challenging time."

The incident took place after one fan died at Taylor's Rio De Janeiro show in November 2023. A 23-year-old woman named Ana Clara Benevides initially passed out in the 42-degree heat before suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest, according to local media.

As for her Australian shows, Taylor kicked off her three-day gig at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday, February 16 and will conclude it on Sunday, February 18. She will later perform at Sydney's Accor Stadium on February 23-25. Other international stops include Singapore, France, Sweden, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Europe as well as Canada.
