Although the 'What Do You Mean?' hitmaker decided to not join him performing at the Sunday, February 11 show, the 'Yeah!' crooner insists that 'no love lost or anything like that' between the two.

AceShowbiz - Usher has finally broken his silence about the rumored Justin Bieber reunion at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show. The "Yeah!" hitmaker confirmed that he did invite the "Baby" hitmaker to join him at the Sunday, February 11 event, but it "didn't work out" so they plan for something else in the future.

"It didn't work out with Justin," the 45-year-old said in the Friday episode of "The Breakfast Club". He added, "I honor and recognize that my brother, I think that it might've been the fact that he's just wanting to tell a different story right now. And I understand that."

"But, we did have a brief conversation," the R&B star added. "We're gonna do something else in the future. No love lost or anything like that. It's a lot of pressure for the Super Bowl, obviously."

Lil Jon, who performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show with Usher, previously divulged that Justin considered taking the stage with them despite his final decision. "He was thinking about it. But I think all of the work that goes into it and then all of the eyeballs and everything else, I don't know if he was ready to take and have that undertaking. Because Justin was kind of chilling. He was there with his wife having a good time," he told TMZ.

"And you know, it's a lot of time you have to dedicate to being in a show like this," the rapper added. "It's not just, 'Ok, let's go do one rehearsal,' and you get on stage. It's a lot of time that's dedicated. So I don't know if he's ready to do all of that."

"We wanted to put Justin in the show. So we had the idea of doing a version of the show with Justin in it," the emcee went on recalling. "But I think Justin wasn't really really... It's a lot of rehearsal, a lot of responsibility, a lot of time and a lot of eyeballs. And I don't know if he was ready to do all of that. You know what I mean? ... But he definitely was there supporting us and they are really good friends."
