The 'Snap Yo Fingers' rapper offers an explanation on the real reason why the 'One Less Lonely Girl' singer turned down Usher's invitation to perform at the sports event.

AceShowbiz - Lil Jon has offered an explanation on the reason why Justin Bieber ended up not performing for the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show. The "Snap Yo Fingers" rapper claimed that the "One Less Lonely Girl" singer considered taking the stage with him and Usher despite his final decision.

Speaking to TMZ on Wednesday, February 14, the 53-year-old hip-hop artist said, "He was thinking about it. But I think all of the work that goes into it and then all of the eyeballs and everything else, I don't know if he was ready to take and have that undertaking. Because Justin was kind of chilling. He was there with his wife having a good time."

Lil Jon went on to explain, "And you know, it's a lot of time you have to dedicate to being in a show like this. It's not just, 'Ok, let's go do one rehearsal,' and you get on stage. It's a lot of time that's dedicated. So I don't know if he's ready to do all of that."

The "Turn Down for What" spitter recalled, "We wanted to put Justin in the show. So we had the idea of doing a version of the show with Justin in it." He reiterated, "But I think Justin wasn't really really... It's a lot of rehearsal, a lot of responsibility, a lot of time and a lot of eyeballs. And I don't know if he was ready to do all of that. You know what I mean?" He added, "But he definitely was there supporting us and they are really good friends."

Usher was tapped to take the stage during the halftime show, which was held on Sunday night, February 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. He eventually performed with a number of special guests, including Lil Jon, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, H.E.R. and will.i.am.

Prior to the highly-anticipated performance, it was reported that Usher had invited Justin to join him and the other artists on the stage. However, Justin reportedly turned down the offer because he "wasn't feeling it." During the event, he sat next to his wife Hailey Bieber (Hailey Baldwin) in a luxury area at the stadium to enjoy the game and show.
