AceShowbiz - Serena Williams has proven that she is proud of her body appearance. Months after giving birth to her second child, the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion embraced her postpartum body in a revealing outfit.
On Monday, February 12, the 42-year-old athlete made use of her Instagram page to upload a photo highlighting her figure. In the snap, she could be seen flaunting her stomach, arms, cleavage and long legs in a two-piece swimsuit during a tropical getaway with her family.
For the family vacation, Serena opted to wear a white bra top that came with a halter neck design and covered her private area with a pair of matching undies. She completed the beach look with a pair of dark-colored sunglasses and a black bracelet.
To match with the bikini set, the professional tennis player, who appeared to have gone makeup-free for the fun day, polished her toenails in a white color. In addition, her long braided locks were styled into an up-do.
In the picture, Serena was striking a pose on a seemingly luxury yacht overlooking a breathtaking view of the bright blue ocean. She was standing up while cradling her second child, who was sporting a short-sleeved blue top and a pair of white pants, in one of her arms.
Along with the photo, Serena talked about her postpartum body, which she deemed "not picture perfect." In the caption of the post, she wrote, "Loving yourself is essential. I find that I have to remind myself of that self-love through all different stages in my life. Right now I love that my body is not picture perfect."
She went on to gush, "I love that I smell like milk - that milk sustains @adiraohanian I love getting to know a new version of my body. It is a change, but it's a change that has been well worth it. So start this week, knowing that you are loved, and that starts with you." She then concluded, "Ok, now I'm about to go to the gym. Serena."
The post came around six months after Serena gave birth. In August 2023, she announced via social media that she and her husband Alexis Ohanian have welcomed their second child, a baby girl, named Adira Ohanian. The wedded couple also shares 6-year-old daughter Olympia Ohanian.
