AceShowbiz - Jenna Ortega allegedly doesn't mingle well with her "Beetlejuice 2" castmates, but it's not her senior co-stars who are putting pressure on her. On the contrary, it's the young actress who reportedly causes a stir on the set of the upcoming movie with her "diva"-like attitude.
"Jenna is cocky, confident, and born to do this kind of work," says a source, who claims that Jenna is just being herself, to the National Enquirer (via Radar Online). "She loves being the center of a high-pressure production with some of the biggest names in the industry."
It's unclear what Jenna has done to upset her co-stars, but the report suggests that director Tim Burton, as well as Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder are left flabbergasted by the 21-year-old star's attitude. "These are people who collectively have decades and decades more experience than Jenna, but they've never encountered a natural-born diva like her," the so-called insider spills.
"She has the talent, and she's built up a huge fan base, but she won't be winning any Miss Congeniality prizes for her attitude on set," the tipster continues to claim. "She's there to score points and nail scenes, usually on the first take, but clearly not there to make friends."
Jenna has become a household name with her portrayal of Wednesday Addams on Netflix's horror-comedy series "Wednesday". She also starred in "Scream" (2022) and "Scream VI" (2023), which established her as a scream queen, but won't return for the upcoming seventh installment due to scheduling conflicts with the new season of "Wednesday".
In "Beetlejuice 2", Jenna is cast as Astrid Deetz, the daughter of Lydia Deetz (Winona). Monica Bellucci returns as Betelgeuse's (Keaton) wife, while Catherine O'Hara reprises her role as Delia Deetz. Willem Dafoe, Justin Theroux, Arthur Conti and Burn Gorman have also been tapped to join the cast for the film, which is slated for September 6 release in the United States.
