AceShowbiz - It's a clapback season for Halle Bailey. Over the weekend, "The Little Mermaid (2023)" star checked an online troll who criticized her for sharing her pregnancy journey after initially hiding it.
The 23-year-old offered her clapback on Sunday, January 28 after someone wrote on X, formerly Twitter, "I don't think people are mad she hid her pregnancy. People are more so annoyed that she went out of her way to lie and gaslight about it." The individual added, "Then, she shaded people and called them desperate. Now, she wants those same 'desperate' people to know every little detail."
In her message, Halle argued, "i never lied or even said anything about it honey , making a joke about my nose was the farthest i went . i'll never understand why you are mad i protected my own peace, wouldn't you do the same?" She continued, "and i'm gonna share my pics now if i want to because my son is here safely, if u don't wanna see it just keep scrolling baby lol God bless you !"
Just a few days prior, Halle and her boyfriend DDG landed in hot water for teaching their newborn son how to walk. On Friday, the YouTuber took to his Snapchat account to share a new picture featuring their little bundle of joy.
In the image posted online, Halle took their picture as DDG held their son to stand up on his own feet. The baby, whose face was blurred to keep his privacy, clearly couldn't stand on his own yet, but his playful parents still looked excited, flashing their smiles in the image. In the caption, the rapper wrote, "We teaching him how to walk!!!" adding a red heart emoji.
Many have since come against the new parents. "Children having children and don't know what to do..," one person commented on the photo after it was reposted on Hollywood Unlocked's Instagram account. Another fumed, "They a lil too excited. Like he's not a toy. Let him grow a little first." A concerned user said, "That baby is 2 hrs old put that baby down."
Halle and DDG confirmed the arrival of their first child on January 6. Making use of Instagram, she unleashed a picture of her manicured hand holding her baby boy's tiny hand. The infant could be seen wearing a gold bracelet etched with the name "Halo."
